Carolina Werebe
Carolina Werebe is a designer and art director whose work lives at the intersection of fashion, contemporary art, and experiential design. Born in São Paulo, Brazil and based in New York, she moves fluidly between disciplines, drawn less to any single medium than to the ideas, materials, and people that hold a piece of work together.
Her practice is defined by a willingness to go to the source. She is interested in where things come from—how a material behaves, who has shaped it for generations, and what is lost when craft is rushed or abstracted away. That curiosity has taken her from global brand systems to the Amazon rainforest, where she spent ten days learning directly from local artisans and building a collection from raw, natural materials. Whether she's developing a visual framework for an exhibition or constructing an object by hand, the instinct is the same: to slow down, to listen, and to design with intention rather than noise.
Across fashion, art direction, and experiential work, Carolina brings both creative ambition and a sharp understanding of how things are made, positioned, and understood. The result is work that is tactile, considered, and quietly radical—a steady case for slowness, material honesty, and the enduring value of the human hand.
